Shah Rukh Khan's special message to Indian cricket team

In all their previous World Cup meetings, India have never lost to Pakistan. And SRK, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders - an Indian Premier League team, hopes India win the World Cup.

"Have a great game Team India. All the best for the World Cup," Shah Rukh tweeted.

SRK also posted a video on the microblogging site saying: "Boys play tough, play hard enjoy yourself and try and bring the cup back home. God bless you. Do well."

India have won the World Cup twice - in 1983 and 2011.

With Calcutta having given way to Kolkata, a section of the local population isn't too pleased with the song Calcutta Kiss in the forthcoming film, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, starring Sushant Singh Rajput.

Apparently, they have expressed their displeasure to the director, Dibakar Bannerjee, also a Bengali, pointing out to him that the name of the 'City of joy' was changed from Calcutta to Kolkata after Independence. Further, they have asked him to change it to Kolkata Kiss.

The filmmaker's reason for not giving in to objections is that the film is set in the 1943 and back then, it was called Calcutta. Finding their objections bizarre and unreasonable, he says, "Those who are objecting are doing it to get some limelight. That's how you get your 15 minutes of fame. Also, this was not completely unexpected because, in India today, every is always ready to take an offence."

While he's aware of the directive of the Central Board of Film Certification that states that old names of cities can't be used, he hopes to make the members of the Board to understand his perspective. He asserts, "If they object, then I'll explain to them that in the time in which the film is set, the city was called Calcutta. And the song is a swing jazz track. I'm sure they will understand."

Dibakar adds, "If there is any objection, I will talk to them (censor board members) and explain that the film has 1943 as its backdrop. Kolkata was called Calcutta then, and the song is a swing jazz track. I am sure they will understand."

Interestingly, the filmmaker launched the song in an innovative way. About 50 dancers got together at Howrah Bridge some days ago to wish the landmark bridge a 'Happy Birthday' and performed to the song, Calcutta Kiss.
